tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16233205321479889372011-07-28T08:48:44.858-07:00free2rhymehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09197921931249614981noreply@blogger.comBlogger11100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1623320532147988937.post-76046440051955164612010-05-09T18:43:00.001-07:002010-05-09T18:43:36.427-07:00Hope alone without the substance of faith cannot get the work done.Hope is important and indeed the starting point for receiving from God but faith is necessary to make your hope come to pass.Hope is only a dream.It cannot be effectively substituted for faith yet many believers try to receive things based om hope rather than faith.Hope is forward looking and in future tense while faith is now.Take for examplethe word pf God says by the stripes of jesus we are healed.Hope says i believe i will be healed but because the word says ''by whose stripes ye were healed''(1 peter 2:24), faith declares that i am healed now.<br /> I used to conduct a weekly bible study some years back here in my country.Most of the studies were centerd on the rudiment if faith and most of the women attending the bible study were becoming faith stalwarts.There was a man that was ill who use to attend from a very far town from where we were.Oneday, after study, we prayed together for his healing to come declaring that he is healed according to the word of God.Each time i tried to get him to confess positively about his healing, he kept saying ''i know i will be healed''.Every effort to make him confess that he is already healed according to the word of God proved abbortive.He kept putting his healing on the future.He fatally operated on hope and it cost him his life because healing based on hope never comes to fruition.<br />Salvation is made of faith(i.e believing with the heart and confessing with the mouth) and not on hope.We do not need to hope that we will be saved on some future date or in the sweet bye and bye because God has promised to save us.If you shall confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus and believed in thy heart that God has raised Him from the dead,you are saved already(Romans10 :9).
